Lille Braderie Flea Market Extended Day Tour
Details:

Welcome to Flea Market Heaven as the charming city of Lille transforms into a trawling treasure trove for enthusiasts and collectors alike. The BIGGEST flea market in Europe, with over 10,000 stalls, selling antiques, toys, books and a whole host of other items, has become a cultural phenomenon that attracts visitors from far and wide. Moules-Frites (mussels & chips) is another tradition of the Braderie, along with a local beer!

September 14th

£115 Per Person

We depart in the early hours of Saturday morning and travel south for our crossing to Calais.  After a short channel crossing, we continue our journey to Lille for the annual rendezvous of flea market fanaticism, bric a brac hunting, and bargain finding.

During the Braderie de Lille, the entire city centre becomes a vast open-air market, with over 10,000 vendors setting up stalls along the streets and sidewalks. You can find all sorts of items for sale, including antiques, vintage clothing, furniture, books, artwork, collectibles, and much more. It’s a paradise for bargain hunters and treasure seekers.

One of the unique features of the Braderie is the tradition of “moules-frites” (mussels and fries). Many restaurants and street vendors serve this popular dish throughout the event. Around 500 tons of mussels are consumed during the Braderie, making it a culinary highlight for visitors.

There is a festive atmosphere at the Lille Flea Market thanks to various street performers, musicians, and entertainers. Traditional folklore groups and marching bands also participate in the event, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.

The coach departs late evening, to make our way back to Calais for our channel crossing back to the UK, before arriving at our pick up points Sunday morning.
